Self Portrait III

Nudity is the most basic, natural, and beautiful state in which to behold the human form.  I am pleased to live in a period of time where the bearing of skin is more accepted than it once was.  However, the imagination is always more beautiful than reality.  Showing less skin is far more provocative and appealing than bearing all for the world to see.  The same is true of our inner selves.  We pick and choose what we share with people and we hide the rest under wraps, even from those closest to us.  Beauty is always accompanied by mystery.

So, during my self portrait investigation, I figured what is a self portrait without a little nudity?  It literally is revealing ones self to the camera.  So, the clothes came off, the lights went up with the tripod and a couple of pictures were taken in true belly dancer spirit.  It was only after reviewing the shot on the right, however, that my interpretation of self began to turn into something worth while.  The motion of the arm sparked an idea.
