Lavender

Lavender is a wonderful plant that has been used by humans for thousands of years for a plethora of uses.  Upon the island of Maui, one can find beautiful lavender farms boasting up to seven different species of the flowering plant.  These farms are located higher in elevation among the clouds that accumulate along the mountain sides.  We meandered through one of these such farms and even Dad and the boys, who were originally objected to stopping there, enjoyed themselves immensely.  The food, the aromas, and the views were spectacular.
