April Fool's Day
Organisms in nature have evolved a plethora of tactics by which to fool other organisms in an attempt to evade predation, parasitism, a parisitoidism. This often includes their body's coloration, texture, size, pheromones they release, and behaviors they display. The spider pictured here is a perfect example of the dual use of camouflage and behavior to hide its presence from the world. It uses the remains of its past prey items to form a line down the middle of its web. It sets its similarly colored body in line with this formation and it disappears.
