The most beautiful sunsets I have seen have been above the cloud line. Most people would argue that sunset at sea is the most beautiful, and it most certainly is wonderful, but clouds create the illusion of a sea, a very unique and surreal sea. Haleakala, the world's largest inactive volcano, boasts such a spectacular sunset. If you ever find yourself on Maui, make this trip to end your day. I hear that sunrise is also breathtaking. Climb or drive to the top and witness what only could belong to gods.
