Lake Taupo

 

Kayaking in Lake Taupo to see Maori carvings.  Garrett and I flipped our kayak, yes, you can laugh, but it was probably one of the most enjoyable parts of the outing.  The carvings were pretty cool too.

Massive Maori carving.  It's not ancient, completed in the last thirty years or so by a tradesman for his final project to become a professional, but it still has such a powerful presence.
