Herman's Gulch

There are still snowfields above 11,000 feet.  We hiked Herman's Gulch to reach one.  I love this picture because of the scenery and Chuck's ass end zooming up the hill.
We were hiking down the path we had come up about half an hour before to reach our lunch place.  As we were descending, the snow in front of us all of a sudden collapsed in to reveal the river flowing underfoot.  I felt very lucky not to have been walking just a little faster that day.
