Alpine Crossing in Tongariro National Park

I love this shot because the boys were completely exhausted after climbing Mt. Doom.  It shows on Garrett's face and the mountain, which I'm not sure if he conquered or it conquered him, looms in the background.

 Dried lava flow... the volcanoes here are still active.  There are safety signs posted informing hikers what to do in the even of an eruption.

 If you can see all of the people down by the Emerald Pools, that is what the boys experienced throughout their hike.  When I was coming down it was just me and the fog.  They did have more traffic but also got much clearer shots than I did.  Isn't Connor becoming such a good little photographer?
