A Paper Flower

Meghann, Mike and I went out for a late lunch in a very good vegan café.  While we sat there having some great food, a young man walked up to our table and laid a napkin rose next to my plate.  He said some words about coffee sometime that I didn’t quite catch, smiled, and then walked out. 

What just happened?  Meghann and Mike seemed as taken unaware as me.  But the guy had left his number on the rose’s leaf and Mike told me I had to go out with him so I could learn how to make the napkin rose- it’s the best move any of us had ever seen- and so I texted him.  Date Sunday sometime.  Meghann was kind enough to remind me that just the day before I had sworn off all men.
